10. Check for necessary clearance between the probe and the bridge:
GOAL: When the probe is in its UP position, the probe tip must be
3/8 in. above the top lip of the inflatable seal when
measured with a 6-in. scale.
a. Using a 6-in. scale, measure the distance from the bottom of the probe tip
to the top surface lip of the inflatable seal.
b. If the probe is positioned correctly, to on to Step 11, below.
c. If the probe's position does not meet the goal, correct it by reconfirming
installation and tightening of fasteners to firm.
11. Close and secure the front half of the machine:
a. Reconnect utility hoses.
b. Bolt the grinding section machine cabinet to the handling area section:
i. Rotate the handling section into place.
ii. Replace a washer and wing nut on each setscrew and manually rotate
each wing nut clockwise to firm.
c. Reconnect the two black 2-inch exhaust duct tubes resting on the plenum
to the grinding exhausts located at the front of the grind chamber:
i. Match and connect each tube by squeezing to compress it.
ii. When each tube is in position, release it.
