Strasbaugh nTellect (Model 7AF) Wafer Grinder
14 - 4 Version 1.2 - June 2004
TROUBLESHOOTING
OVERVIEW
The most effective means of preventing problems is careful adherence to all preventive
maintenance schedules listed in the Preventive Maintenance and Operator Functions
chapters of this manual. The Machine Operation Checkout schedule and the section
on Normal Operating Conditions and Strategies for Maintaining Them provide details
on common grinding problems and the recommended corrective action for each. The
Fault Messages section lists control computer fault messages by problem category.
Each message is accompanied by its cause(s) and resolution(s).
MESSAGES DISPLAYED ON THE CONTROL COMPUTER SCREEN TAKE PRECEDENCE!
Messages and information displayed on the control computer screen always take
precedence over information in this manual.
Because control computer software can be updated more rapidly than manual
information, onscreen directions may be more current than the contents of this manual.
Should the manual and the screen information conflict, always follow the
onscreen directions.
