Automatic Header Height
Control System
The automatic head height control system
compensates for uneven ground and controls
the horizontal and vertical positions of the
header. The system continuously compares
the preset position and the actual position, and
then keeps the header in the desired working
position. Values are entered by the response
rate adjust and sensitivity adjust along with the
selection dial located on the armrest. The top
photo shows the header height control system
display in use.
The system functions when:
• The road transport disconnect switch is in
field posit
ion (indicator light is OFF)
(middle photo).
• The engine is running.
• The separator is engaged (bottom photo).
• The header is engaged (bottom photo)
with a properly connected header installed.
•
The desired header control mode is
activated.
