9980 Self-Propelled Peanut Combine Cab Climate Control
Troubleshooting
CLIMATRAK High Pressure
Switch
A high pressure condition can result from
insufficient air flow across the condenser.
When this happens, the high pressure switch
(see photo) shuts off the compressor.
To check for this condition:
1. Stop the combine,
set the parking brake,
and remove the key.
2. Clean the condenser, filters and check for
a broken fan belt.
3.
Start the engine and turn on the air
conditioning. If the switch shuts off the
compressor again, see your
AMADAS/John Deere dealer.
CLIMATRAK Low Pressure
Switch
The low pressure switch is located under the
instructional seat. If protects the compressor
if the refrigerant is lost. The switch can also
activate if there is insufficient air flow across
the
evaporator. It can also cause the
compressor to cycle on cool days or if there is
a slow leak in the system.
If the compressor cycles excessively, or if the
system is not cooling, see your
AMADAS/John Deere dealer.
