Engine Service 9980 Self-Propelled Peanut Combine
Check the rotary screen daily to be certain it
turns freely. To clean it:
1. Pull open the latches and open the rotary
screen door.
2. Clean the rotary fan screen with a brush
and
compressed air when dirt and chaff
build up on or behind the screen (top
photo).
3. Pull the condenser out.
4. Clean oil cooler, condenser, and radiator.
If using compressed air, blow from the
inside out.
5. Clean out dirt from the
vacuum ducts (bottom photo).
6. Close the rotary screen door.
IMPORTANT! If you use high pressure air
or water, be careful of fin damage to
coolers. Use a fin comb to straighten bent
fins, as bent fins will decrease cooler
performance.
ALWAYS shut off engine and remove key
when performing maintenance.
