Cab Climate Control 9980 Self-Propelled Peanut Combine
The air conditioning/heating system functions
as follows:
A – Holes
B – Air duct
C – Pressurizer fan
D – Pre-cleaner
E – Fresh air filter
F – Recirculating filter
G – Recirculator blower
H – Ducts
1. Air is drawn into the cab through holes (A).
2. This air flows down the air duct (B) and
into the pressurizer fan (C).
3. Air is then pushed through the pre-cleaner
(D) where the majority of the dirt and a
small amount of air is discharged through
the cab floor. Always make sure this area
is open.
4.
The cleaned air then passes through the
fresh air filter (E) into the evaporator
compartment.
5.
The air is mixed with air from inside the
cab, and is drawn into the elevator
compartment through the recirculating filter
(F).
6. It then passes through the evaporator and
heater core.
7. Treated air (heated or cooled) is drawn into
the recirculator blower (G) and discharged
into the cab through ducts (H).
Special equipment and procedures are
required to service the air conditioning system.

Sensors Monitored
The following items are monitored with
sensors:
• Inlet air temperature
• Air temperature coming out of ducts
•
Evaporator core temperature to prevent
icing.
• Cab air temperature:
o
Sensor located behind the operator
recognizes the temperature the
operator is experiencing.
o
Covering this sensor causes the
system to respond slower to changes
in heat loads.
o
Use provided coat hook to hang your
coat.
