Threshing Speed
Starting Position: The cylinder speed should
initially be set at 360 RPM. NOTE THAT THE
SPEED DISPLAYED IS TWICE THE
ACTUAL CYLINDER RPM SPEED.
Adjustments: The cylinder spe
ed should be
increased for tough conditions or if peanuts
are being left on the vines. Increasing
cylinder speed increases aggressiveness.
The cylinder
speed should be decreased if
conditions are dry and peanuts are
susceptible to damage or if shelling is
occurring. Cylinder
speed should not be
decreased below 260 RPM.
1. Press the threshing speed switch (A) (top
and middle photos
). The selection dial
indicator light turns ON (C) (middle photo).
2. Use the selection dial (B) (top photo
) to
turn the speed up (+) or slow it down (-
).
The CommandCenter displays adjustment
to the threshing speed (bottom photo).
The tachometer readout displays the RPM of
the fourth cylinder. Do NOT operate the
cylinder speed below 26
0 RPM with the
engine at full operating speed (2500 RPM).
