9980 Self-Propelled Peanut Combine Operation
Stopping the Engine
1. Lower the header completely to the ground.
2. Move the multi-
function handle to neutral
(top photo).
3.
Press the slow idle engine speed control
switch (A).
4. Make sure the yellow header engage switch
(B) is OFF (center position).
5. Make sure the yellow separator switch (C)
is OFF (center position).
6.
Before stopping an engine that was
operating at working load, idle the engine
at least two to three minutes to allow
turbocharger to cool.
7. Turn the key switch OFF.

IMPORTANT! Cooling of turbocharger
and some engine parts is prov
ided by
engine oil. Stopping a hot engine might
cause damage to these parts.
CAUTION
Set the parking brake and remove the key
before leaving the machine.
