44 08/05/16 MAN141.rev1
The engine speed switches control the engine
RPM. Control engine speed as follows:
• For fast idle (2340 RPM*), press switch A.
*w/out Separator engaged**
**w/Separator engaged (2200 RPM –
adjustable to 1950)
[See 10% Engine Speed Control
section]
• For mid idle (1690 RPM), press switch B.
• For slow idle (1200 RPM), press switch C.
Note that an indicator signal lights up beside a
switch when it is pressed. If you press the
switch again, the light goes out and the engine
is taken out of that idle speed.
A – Fast speed
B – Medium
C – Slow
The 10% engine speed control switch reduces
engine speed up to 10% when it is in fast idle.
To reduce engine speed, turn the knob
counterclockwise.
Note: The 10% engine speed control only
functions while harvesting [i.e.: separator
engaged.]
When separator is disengaged, engine high
idle speed will return to 2340.
When separator is reengaged, it will return to
previously set RPM.
IMPORTANT! Whenever the combine is
being moved, the engine should be in
either the mid or high speed. Failure to do
so can cause severe damage to the
hydrostat system.
