Primary Fuel/Water Separator
Filter
The primary fuel/water separator filter is
attached the electric fuel pump. It is located
under the shield on the left side of the
machine.
When the
primary fuel/water separator filter
senses water in the fuel system, a diagnostic
code is generated.
If diagnostic code ECU 97.16 displays, drain
the primary fuel/water filter using the drain. Be
sure to reset the code when complete.
Secondary Fuel/Water
Separator Filter
The secondary fuel filter is located in the
engine compartment (photo)
, behind the
ladder that accesses the top of the engine
.
Replace the secondary filter when you replace
the primary fuel/water separator filter.

parking brake set, and key out of ignition
before performing any maintenance.
