Lights and Signals 9980 Self-Propelled Peanut Combine
General Information
Note the following about the lights on the
combine:
• Exit lights remain on for a maximum of 90
seconds after the key switch is turned off if
the road or field lights were used within the
previous five minutes.
• The turn signal lever is used to light the left
or right side of the machine.
• When all lights are first turned to the ON
position with the key switch OFF, there is a
slight delay before the lights turn on.
Lighting Delay/Timeout
If the key is in the OFF position and a light
switch is turned to ON, there is a slight delay
before the light(s) come on. This is due to the
machine determining whether the current
battery voltage exists to op
erate the lights
without the machine running. This feature is
built into the combine to prevent too much
voltage from being drawn from the battery and
preventing it from starting.
If service lights are on for 10 minutes with the
combine off, the lights
flash and then go off
momentarily, and then turn on for 20 seconds.
The cycle continues for three minutes, then
the lights turn off until the switch is turned OFF
and then ON. If the lights do not come back
on after the switch is cycled, the machine has
determined the battery voltage is too low to
allow the lights to operate until the combine
has been turned on and the batteries
recharged.
