Peanut Door Alarm
The Peanut Door Alarm (top photo), provides
an audible and visual alarm when the door
above the collection auger (bottom photo)
has opened.
This may be caused by a blockage in the
peanut duct, insufficient air flow for the crop
volume or an over-filled basket.
NOTE!
If the alarm sounds, address this
issue immediately.
Stop the combine, disengage the
separator and header and shut off
the engine.
Engage the parking brake and
remove the ignition key.
If
peanuts are not packed under the
door, close and ensure that the
switch is activated.
If peanuts are packed under the door,
open the inspection door below the
auger and release the peanuts. After
clearing, inspect the auger flighting
for damage. If fligh
ting is bent or
welds are broken, repair before
continuing harvest.
If no duct blockage was found,
reduce harvesting speed or increase
elevator air.
