Playing a Compact Disc
The integral CD receiver plays full-sized CDs.
1. Turn the ignition and receiver ON.
2.
Insert a disc partway into the slot (label
side up). The player automatically pulls
the disc once it has been partially inserted.
The “CD” icon displays along with the track
number and elapsed t
ime and the track
plays.
3. If you are listening to the radio, press the
CD button to play a CD that has been
loaded into the player. If no CD has been
loaded, “NO CD” displays for five seconds
and then the default displays. If a CD has
been loaded, the tr
ack number and
elapsed time on the track displays.
If a CD is ejected and not removed within 25
seconds, the CD reloads.
A CD can be inserted while the receiver is
OFF. To do so, press EJECT and insert a CD
within 25 seconds.
Error Messages
While in CD
player mode, the following
messages may appear:
NO CD –
no CD has been loaded in the
player.
FOCUS –
the lens could not focus on the CD.
Possible reasons include:
• Disc is inserted upside down –
eject and
reinsert CD.
• Disc is dirty, scratched, or wet – clean CD.
• Lens is dirty –
clean D lens with a lens
cleaner.
• It is very humid –
wait an hour and try
again.
TRACKING –
Loss of tracking control.
Possible reasons include:
• Disc is dirty or scratched – try cleaning CD.
• Lens is dirty – clean CD lens
with a lens
cleaner.
MOTOR ER – Loads/unloads motor problem –
contact dealer.
