Header Engage/Header Reverse
To manually remove a “plug”:
1.
Bring the header engage and separator
engage switches to the “OFF” position.
2.
Place the hydrostatic handle to
“NEUTRAL” and set the parking brake.
3.
Turn the combine ignition switch to the
“OFF” position and remove the key.
4. Follow all safety warnings in Chapter 1
Safety, and safely remove the plug.
Separator Engage
The separator engage switch turns on the
separator.
•
Push up to turn ON; pull down to turn
OFF.
• The road transport disconnect switch must
be in field position to turn the separator
engage switch to ON
(the indicator light
must be OFF).
• Separator drive
speed and cleaning fan
speed adjust systems only work when the
separator is running.
• This switch must be off to start the engine.
•
The separator should only be engaged at
low idle speed.
•
When the combine is run at high idle, the
separator should be
disengaged after the
engine is brought down to mid idle.
WARNING
NEVER manually remove a “plug” from the
combine header with the combine engine
running! Serious injury or death may
occur.
