22. Change the service quad’s “Protection Mode”
from 0x1 to 1+1 in both the “from OC12” and
“from OC48” direction.

NOTE:
Changing the service quad’s “Protection Mode” clears the OC12 Mode
Conflict Alarm.
23. Enter the appropriate cross-connection(s) for
the protection quad.

24. Use CONFIGURATION-Retrieve-OC12
command to verify that the operating mode is
1+1 for the quad pair.
If Operating Mode is 1+1,thenSTOP! You
Have Completed This Procedure.
If Operating Mode is NOT 1+1, then
contact your next level of
Technical Support.
