change the “Protection Mode” from 1+1to0x1
for the service pack/slot _a address.

13. At the CIT, execute the
CONFIGURATION-Update-All command.

14. At the CIT, login to near-end node A. Use
CONFIGURATION-Set-OC3 command to
change the “Protection Mode” from 1+1to0x1
for the protection slot _b address.
NOTE:
As a result of changing the Protection
Mode from 1+1to0x1,the
cross-connections associated with the
protection slot are deleted.
