NOTE:
The primary node normally carries traffic via a DRI cross-connection.
From the operation instructions, identify and
record the target identifier (TID) of the pri-
mary node.

The secondary node carries traffic only if the primary node is unable to
carry traffic.
From the operation instructions, identify and
record the cross-connections to be deleted
at the secondary node.

4. If required, connect the craft interface terminal
(CIT) to the local FT-2000 network element and
condition it.

5. Establish a login to the secondary node. (To
remotely establish a login, refer to DLP-524.)

6. The cross-connection to be deleted at the secondary node is a 1-way
slot-to-tributary (add) cross-connection.
At the CIT, select
CONFIGURATION-Retrieve-Crossconnect
ion-STS3 (or STS1) and execute to obtain
an STS3 (or STS1) Cross-Connection Map
Report. Examples of these reports with a
description of the output parameters are
provided in Section 11 of this manual.

7. Compare the report with the operation
instructions and record any slot-to-tributary
(add) cross-connections to be deleted at the
secondary node.
