16. Does a SYSCTL failure or SYSMEM failure appear under the
Description column of the report?
If YES, then go to TAP-108.
If NO, then continue with Step 17.
17. At the CIT, select CONFIGURATION-Retrieve-Crossconnection.Verify
that all crossconnections are present and correct.
If the cross-connections are correct,thengotoStep19.
If the cross-connections are corrupted, then continue with Step 18.
18. Cross-connections must be reentered using an out-of-service spare bay.
Follow the procedures listed in this step to restore cross-connections using an
out-of-service spare bay.
NOTE:
If cross-connections are corrupted, they cannot be reentered with the
LNCTL circuit pack removed from the bay. And, if the LNCTL is
reinserted, the corrupted cross-connect data will overwrite the actual
cross-connections in the High Speed Optical circuit packs.
1. Remove all circuit packs from the out-of-service spare bay.
2. Remove the good SYSMEM circuit pack from the in-service bay and
insert it into the spare bay.
3. Remove the good SYSCTL circuit pack from the in-service bay and insert
it into the spare bay.
4. InsertaLNCTLinthesparebay.
5. Insert an OHCTL in the OHCTL 1 (1W) slot in the spare bay.
6. Login to the spare bay and enter crossconnections and TID.
7. Remove the SYSMEM circuit pack and reinstall it into the in-service bay.
8. Remove the SYSCTL circuit pack and reinstall it into the in-service bay.
9. Login to the in-service bay and repeat this procedure from Step 17.
19. Reinsert the LNCTL circuit pack that was removed in Step 1.
20. At the CIT, select FAULT-Reset and execute.
21. Is the NE ACTY LED off at the user panel?
If YES, then STOP! YOU HAVE COMPLETED THIS PROCEDURE.
If NO, then go to Trouble Clearing: IXL-001.
