Clear ‘Node ID Conflict’
NOTE:
This condition is normally a transient condition.
1. Wait 5 minutes or until the NE ACTY LED on the user panel goes off.
2. At the CIT, select FAULT-Retrieve-Alarms to obtain an Active Alarms and
Status Report.
3. Has the node ID conflict condition cleared?
If YES, then STOP! YOU HAVE COMPLETED THIS PROCEDURE.
If NO, then continue with Step 4.
NOTE:
The node ID conflict alarm may have occured during node
addition/deletion if the procedure in this manual was not followed properly, or it
may have occured after an isolated node was restored.
4. Try removing and reconnecting the OC-48 fibers associated with the line
direction shown in the CIT Active Alarms and Status Report.
5. Has the node ID conflict condition cleared?
If YES, then STOP! YOU HAVE COMPLETED THIS PROCEDURE.
If NO, then go to TAP-108 to clear the unexpected response.
