TAP-163
Clear ‘Path Integrity Failure’
NOTE:
The path integrity failure condition may appear as a transient
condition.
1. Wait 5 minutes before continuing with this procedure if you haven't already
done so.
NOTE:
This condition means a complete circuit from a drop cross-connection back to
an add cross-connection does not exist. The circuit path is open.
NOTE:
The most likely cause of this condition is one or more missing through and/or
add cross-connection(s).
2. At the CIT, select CONFIGURATION-Retrieve-Circuit-STS3 (or
STS1) command to obtain an STS-3 (or STS-1) Circuit Map Report. An
example of this report with a description of the output parameters is provided
in Section 11 of this manual.
3. Compare this report with office records to locate the node with the missing
cross-connection(s). A missing cross-connection is indicated in the report by a
question mark (?)intheCross-Connect column.
4. Log in to the node with the missing cross-connection(s). If a remote login is
required and you need additional help, refer to DLP-524.
5. At the CIT, select CONFIGURATION-Enter-Crossconnection-STS3 com-
mand to correct the problem [missing cross-connection(s)].
6. If remotely logged in to the node (network element), log out.
7. If necessary, repeat Steps 4, 5, and 6 at other nodes missing a cross-connec-
tion(s).
8. STOP! YOU HAVE COMPLETED THIS PROCEDURE.
