TAP-175
Clear ‘LCLAN Failure’
NOTE:
The LCLAN failure alarm is an indication of a particular hardware failure directly
related to the SYSCTL circuit pack.
!
CAUTION:
Do not remove the SYSCTL circuit pack unless instructed to do so by this
procedure. If removed, provisioning data (current values) could be lost. Current
values were provisioned with the Set commands.
36. At the CIT, select FAULT-Retrieve-Alarm to obtain an Active Alarm and
Status Report.
37. Do other alarms, in addition to LCLAN failure, appear under the Description
column of the report?
If YES, then go to TAP-102.
If NO, then continue with Step 3.
NOTE:
It is necessary to clear any/all additional alarms before continuing with this
procedure.
38. Remove the SYSCTL circuit pack and install a replacement circuit pack having
the same or a higher series number. For example, an LAA23C with series
number S1:2 is the same series number as S1:4. The 2 and 4 refer to minor
changes within series 1.
Reference: DLP-514
NOTE:
For circuit pack and software compatibility, refer to Table 7-1 in Section 7,
"Circuit Pack Description."
39. Wait 10 minutes or until the MJ LED is off at the user panel, whichever comes
first.
40. At the CIT, select FAULT-Retrieve-Alarm to obtain an Active Alarm and
Status Report.
