Establish or Disconnect Remote Login Using CIT
Overview: This procedure is used to gain access to a remote FT-2000 or
DDM-2000 network element (NE) over the data communications channel (DCC) but
not to an FT-2000 repeater bay/shelf.
1. Are you to establish remote login or disconnect from remote login?
To establish, then continue with Step 2.
To disconnect, then continue with Step 8.

2. If required, connect and condition the craft interface terminal (CIT).

NOTE:
The CIT connection state is indicated in the upper right-hand corner of the
FT-2000 screen only as LOCAL ONLY, REMOTE,orLOCAL.
LOCAL ONLY - CIT is only connected to local network element.
REMOTE - CIT is connected to remote network element from local
network element.
LOCAL - CIT is connected to remote network element but it is toggled
back to local network element.
Press the F2 function key labeled REMOTE followed by the enter or return key
to display the Destination: prompt window.

NOTE:
With Release 4.1 and later software, typing a question mark (?) in response
to the TID prompt will display a pick list of available addresses in the
network(s).
Enter the target identification (TID) obtained from the office records (or report)
for the remote FT-2000 or DDM-2000 NE.
