The following command/response messages are supported:
ACTIVATE-USER (ACT-USER)

— activates a TL1 access login session
ALLOW-MESSAGE (ALW-MSG)* — allows transmission of autonomous messages
CANCEL-USER (CANC-USER)* — terminates a TL1 login session
COPY-PROGRAM (CPY-PRGM)§§ — copies software from a network element to
another network element
DELETE-ASSIGNMENT-DCC (DLT-ASGNMT-DCC)§§ — deletes an OC-3 or OC-12 DCC
assignment
DELETE-CROSS-CONNECTION (DLT-CRS-rr)

— deletes an STS-3 or STS-1
(Releases 7 and later) cross-connection
DELETE-USER-SECURITY (DLT-USER-SECU)* — deletes the security parameters
associated with a user
EDIT-DATE (ED-DAT)* — changes the system date and time
EDIT-PASSWORD ID (ED-PID)* — changes the user password
EDIT-USER-SECURITY (ED-USER-SECU)* — changes the login ID, password, and/or
user privileges of any non-privileged user
ENTER-ASSIGNMENT-DCC (ENT-ASGNMT-DCC)§§ — enters an OC-3 or OC-12 DCC
assignment
ENTER-CHANNEL IDENTIFIER-SECURITY (ENT-CID-SECU)§—Release 7.2 and later
sets system security for the CIT-PC, DCC and X.25 ports
ENTER-CROSS-CONNECTION (ENT-CRS-rr)†—establishes an STS-3 or STS-1
(Release 7 and later) cross-connection
ENTER-FAR-END-COMMUNICATION (ENT-FECOM)§§ — enables/disables remote
access capabilities over the DCC and alarms associated with DCC failures.
ENTER-NETWORK-ELEMENT-SECURITY (ENT-NE-SECU)§§ —establishes the global
security parameters of the system (e.g., password aging, login aging, etc).
ENTER-PROTECTION-LINE (ENT-PRONT-LINE)

— sets the "wait-to-restore" line
protection switching characteristic for the system.
ENTER-PROTECTION-LOW-SPEED (ENT-PROTN-LS)†† — sets the "wait-to-restore" low
speed protection switching characteristics for the system.
ENTER-PROTECTION-STS3 (ENT-PROT-rr)§§ — enters protection for an STS-3
(NPPA).
