■ Volume I, Section 1, "System Introduction," introduces the members of the
Lucent Technologies 2000 Product Family and briefly describes the
FT-2000 OC-48 Lightwave System.
■ Volume I, Section 2, "Applications," describes how the FT-2000 OC-48
Lightwave System meets point-to-point, hubbing, bidirectional
line-switched rings, dual ring interworking, dual-wire center architecture,
broadband service transport, FT-Lightwave Booster Amplifier (FT-LBA) for
