CONFIGURATION-Set-OC48 (TL1= ENT-rr): This input sets the Signal
Degrade Threshold, F Byte Processing and Sync Messaging of high-speed
lines.
The Line parameter selects the high-speed line(s).
The Signal Degrade Threshold parameter sets the line parity (B2)
error rate at which a signal degrade condition is declared. It is an
integer in the range "-9" to "-5." These values are the base 10
logarithm of the error rate threshold (for example, "-7" means an
error rate of 10
-7
).
The Sync Messaging parameter determines whether
synchronization messaging is enabled or disabled on the K2 byte.
For sync messaging on the K2 byte, the setting should be
Enabled. For no sync messaging, the setting should be Disabled.
ThereisnooptionavailableforsyncmessagingontheS1byteat
the OC48 level.
NOTE:
The synchronization messaging status of the OC48 TRMTR and
OC48 RCVR circuit packs on the same OC-48 high-speed line
should both have the same setting (i.e., either enabled or
disabled) to avoid potential synchronization problems. For
example, if the OC48 TRMTR circuit pack does not have sync
messaging enabled but the OC48 RCVR circuit pack does, a DUS
(do not use for synchronization) message may appear when
executing the CONFIGURATION-Retrieve-Synchronization
command.
CONFIGURATION-Set-Path-Trace: This input sets the transmitted and
expected received path traces. This input also enables or disables DRI
switching on the STS Path Payload Defect Indicator (PDI-P) in the STS
SPE.
The Receive Path Trace parameter is the character string that the
Retrieve-Path-Trace input will compare with the actual receive
path trace for the selected DS3 low-speed port(s). The string must
be less than or equal to 62 characters long and may use spaces,
double quotes, or any of the following characters:
#$%&'()*+,-./0123456789:;<>@ABCDEDFHIJKLMNO
PQRSTUVWXYZ[\]ˆ_`adcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz{|}~
