— The Transmit Path Trace parameter is the character string that will
be transmitted toward the OC-48 line in the path trace of the
selected DS3 low-speed port(s). The string must be less than or
equal to 62 characters long and may use spaces, double-quotes, or
any of the following characters:
#$%&'()*+,-./0123456789:;<>@ABCDEDFHIJKLMNO
PQRSTUVWXYZ[\]ˆ_`adcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz{|}~
The provisioned value of the Transmit Path Trace parameter MUST
be different from the provisioned value of the Receive Path Trace
parameter, at the same node. Also, the provisioned value of the
Transmit Path parameter at the near end node must be EXACTLY
the same as the provisioned value of the Receive Path Trace
parameter at the far end node.
To set the path trace to all nulls, enter any number of spaces (as
long as no non-space characters are entered). The spaces will be
translated and stored as null characters.
— The PDI-P Switching parameter determines whether PDI-P
switching is enabled or disabled.
■ CONFIGURATION-Set-Protection-Line: This input sets the Wait to
Restore interval for line protection switching.
— The Wait To Restore parameter is the time ("0" to "12" minutes) that
the network element waits after a condition clears before breaking
automatic high-speed protection switches.
■ CONFIGURATION-Set-Protection-Low Speed: This input sets the
Wait to Restore interval for low-speed protection switching.
— The Wait To Restore parameter is the time ("0" to "12" minutes) that
the network element waits after a condition clears before breaking
automatic low-speed protection switches.
■ CONFIGURATION-Set-State-EC1 (TL1 = ENT-rr): This input sets the
Primary State of EC-1 ports to "AUTO" or "NMON." This parameter can be
provisioned when the selected low-speed interface slot(s) is unequipped or
equipped with any type low-speed interface circuit pack. Thus, it is
permissible to preprovision low-speed interface slots for EC-1 interfaces.
The EC-1 port state can be provisioned separately in the add and drop
directions.
— The Direction parameter selects the direction of the selected
low-speed port(s) to provision (From STSX1, From OC48).
— The Primary State parameter provisions the state of the selected
port(s) (and selected direction) to either:
■ "NMON": The EC-1 signals for the selected direction of this
port are not monitored for errors. No conditions are reported
and PM quantities will be "-" for this port. The port will not
make a transition to the IS (in service) state if a good signal
appears.
