Maintenance Description
Issue 8.0 July 2002
9-17
inc. (from STSX) line RFI/yellow An incoming line RFI/yellow condition has
been detected on an incoming EC-1 line
from the STSX-1.
Likely causes: Failure of an outgoing EC-1
line (transmit) or local STS1E circuit pack.
incoming DCC failure The local network element cannot
communicate through the SONET data
communications channel (DCC). A defective
incoming DCC can affect the following:
- remote logins
- reporting of far-end conditions on TBOS
links
- TL1 messages.
Likely causes: Failure of far-end OHCTL,
SYSMEM, or SYSCTL circuit packs; failure
of both TG3 circuit packs.
incoming (from DSX) DS3 LOS Failure of one or more of the DS3 signals
coming from the low speed cross-connect
panel. A DS3 signal failure causes insertion
of DS3 AIS at a remote FT-2000 terminal.
Likely cause: Incoming DS3 loss of signal.
incoming (from DSX) DS3 SD A signal degrade (SD) condition has been
detected on one or more of the DS3 signals
coming from the low-speed cross-connect
panel.
incoming (from OC3/OC12) STS LOP An STS-1 loss-of-pointer (LOP) condition
has been detected on an incoming
synchronous transport signal (STS-1) from
an OC-3 or OC-12 line.
Likely cause: Failure of the upstream
TRMTR circuit pack.
incoming OC12 AIS An OC12 alarm condition signal (AIS) has
been detected on one or more of the OC-12
signals coming from an OC-48 line.
Likely causes: Failure of an upstream
OC-12 source equipment or OC12 circuit
pack.
