Maintenance Description
9-16 Issue 8.0 July 2002
FT-LBA 1WE failure Failure of the 1WE LBA.
fuse/power failure A The network element has a blown fuse in
feeder A, a power failure to a shelf, or a
power failure within the bay.
Likely causes: A blown 10A fuse, a defective
1186A filter board in the filter panel, or a
fault condition in the SYSCTL circuit pack.
fuse/power failure B The network element has a blown fuse in
feeder B, a power failure to a shelf, or a
power failure within the bay.
Likely causes: A blown 10A fuse, a defective
1186A filter board in the filter panel, or a
fault condition in the SYSCTL circuit pack.
inc. (from DS1) sync ref fail A failure of the incoming DS1
synchronization reference has been
detected.
inc. (from OC3) DCC failure The local network element cannot
communicate through the SONET OC-3
data communications channel (DCC).
inc. (from OC3) path AIS A Path AIS has been detected on an
incoming STS-1 tributary of an OC3 signal.
The OC3 port in question is provisioned as a
DRI cross-connect (1-Way-DRI, 2-Way-DRI,
or 2-Way-DRI-Pri).
Likely causes: Failure of upstream
equipment, which includes the STS-1 path
(for equipment, failure of an OC-3 pack in
the upstream OC3 equipment). If the
upstream NE is an FT-2000 then a “delete”
of a drop cross-connection may have been
performed.
inc. (from OC48) DCC failure The local network element cannot
communicate through the SONET OC-48
data communications channel (DCC).
inc (from OC48) path RFI/yellow An STS-1 path RDI signal has been
detected on a DS3 signal coming from the
line. Path yellow indicates the far-end
terminal is receiving a "path AIS."
inc. (from OC48) sync ref fail A failure of the incoming line
synchronization reference from the incoming
OC-48 signal has been detected.
