path TCA A threshold crossing alert (TCA) has been
issued. The alert means the signal degrade
threshold has been exceeded.
path yellow An STS-1 path yellow has been detected on
a DS3 signal coming from the line. Path
yellow indicates the far-end terminal is
receivinga"pathAIS."
Likely causes: Unprotected failure of far-end
DS3 circuit pack.
preemptible protn access The Low Speed Shelf - Complementary is
connected to the protection line during the
switching function and can be preempted
by an automatic switch to protection.
provisioned control pt The specified control point (miscellaneous
discrete output) is active. Note: The actual
message that appears in the condition
description report for this condition can be
provisioned; this is the default message.
See the Retrieve-Attribute-Control and
Set-Attribute-Control commands.
Likely cause: The system was instructed to
close the control point by a TBOS control
point.
provisioned environmental pt A contact closure is present at an
environmental input point of the network

RCVR failure Failure of RCVR circuit pack.
RCVR removed RCVR circuit pack is missing from slot.
receiver parameter-out-of-range One or more of the operating parameters of
a RCVR, TRMTR, or REGENR circuit pack
has exceeded the recommended range.
REGENR failure Failure of REGENR circuit pack.
REGENR removed REGENR circuit pack is missing from slot.
repeater bay environment input An environmental input has been activated
at the indicated repeater site.
repeater bay equipment failure An equipment failure has occurred at the
indicated repeater site.
