Craft Interface Terminal Usage
Issue 8.0 July 2002
11-81
TID - Shows the unique identification of the node.
NID - Shows the node identifier, 0 through 15.
Directory
Service NE
- Shows whether or not this network element is serving as the
Directory Server node in the ring network. Only one node is
provisioned as the DS-NE in the ring network.
Site
Address
- Shows the confirmed F-byte address of the FT-2000 network
element as reported on both the East and West lines for
FT-2000 ADR Release 4.0 and later. The site address for 1W
line of the network element is derived from the
autoprovisioning function based on the number of sections in
the OC-48 line on the West side of the network element. If a
question mark (?) appears as part of the value, then auto
provisioning has not been completed or it failed (for example,
a removed or failed LNCTL).
The site address is calculated with respect to the East side of
the adjacent FT-2000 ADR node. Each FT-2000 ADR node
will first label its East side as 1E-0 (SECURITY-Retrieve-
Network Element). The next Regenerator away from 1E-0
will become 1E-1, the next 1E-2 and so on. This is done on a
section/line basis between each pair of FT-2000 ADR nodes.
In the previous example, site-1W-4 indicates that there are 3
regenerator sites. The regenerators on the West side of an
FT-2000 ADR terminal are identified using the same
numbering scheme. Regenerator alarms being received on
the East or West side of the FT-2000 ADR terminal will be
reported as “site 1E or W-x...” where ‘x’ is the regenerator
address.
TL-1
Gateway
- Shows whether or not this network element is serving as the
TL-1 gateway in a ring network for Release 4.1 and later. A
ring network may have more than one TL-1 gateway network
element.
