Craft Interface Terminal Usage
Issue 8.0 July 2002
11-141
The fields of the report are described below:
Address - Shows the address by slot function, high-speed line
designation, and physical slot location.
Circuit Pack - Shows the functional name of the circuit pack.
Port
State
- Shows the state of multiple ports (1, 2, and 3) with an i for
the IS state, an a for the AUTO state, an n for the NMON
state, a dash ("-") for not applicable (when the slot is not
equipped), and a blank for the timing packs and the
high-speed interfaces. The port state is listed left to right in
ascending order.
Switch State - Shows whether the circuit pack or DS1 reference input is in
an active state (by carrying traffic or by providing timing) or in
a standby state (by not carrying traffic or by not providing
timing).
Switch Priority - Active switch priority shows the current protection
switching priority of a circuit pack or external DS1 reference.
The "-ring" suffix for a high-speed switch priority means that
the circuit pack is signaling a switch request for a switch at
the other side of the node or at another node. An external
high-speed switch request results in an "-ne" (near end) suffix
at the node where the request was entered, and an "-fe" (far
end) suffix at the other end of the line. If the same priority
requestwas entered at both ends of a line, both ends show an
"-ne" suffix.
A dash ("-") indicates that the condition causing the switch
failure has been cleared.
The queued or deferred switch priorities can only be a
"manual-ne," "APS(SD)," "APS(SF)," and "manual" for a
low-speed interface.
