18. Remove bearing race halves and roller bearings
from crankshaft.
IMPORTANT: Keep same bearing races and roller
bearings together.

Inspect crankshaft ball bearing as outlined in “Clean-
ing and Inspection,” following.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT remove crankshaft ball
bearing, unless replacement is required.
19. Remove lower ball bearing from crankshaft as
follows:
a. Remove retaining ring using a pair of snap
ring pliers.
