Installing Driveshaft
1. Lubricate the seals and inside bore of the bearing
carrier (a).
2. Place the driveshaft (“b” impeller end facing up)
into a vise.
3. Heat the bearing carrier (a) until it feels warm to
the touch.
4. Place the bearing carrier (a) onto the driveshaft.
Square up the inner bore with the ball bearings
and push the bearing carrier down until it bottoms
out against the bearing.
NOTE: Only a light pressing force is needed to press
on the bearing carrier. It may be necessary to lightly
tap the bearing carrier onto the bearing using a
rubber hammer.
