2 - HOMING THE MACHINE
WARNING! Before beginning the homing sequence, check for potential
crash situations due to previous movement of assemblies
using the manual controls at the Machine Maintenance
menu.
Homing moves all necessary parts of the machine into correct alignment for the auto
grind cycle. Homing can be done automatically by touching the Home All button at
the Home Machine menu (or manually by selecting each servo individually). Unlike
using the Home All button, homing the servos individually will not reference the
machine. Both methods are presented below.
NOTES:
Error Message - Until the servos have been homed, the 7AF will not respond to
requests to run an auto grind cycle.
If you select the Grind menu without first homing, the screen will display an error
message. Acknowledge the error message by touching OK; touch QUIT to return to
the Main Menu to select the Home Machine menu.
Number of Minutes to Home - To home the machine takes five to six minutes.
