3 - CHECKING UTILITIES
Follow the steps below to check the utilities.
If any of the items listed below does not meet the specification shown, investigate
and correct before referencing the machine.
1. Read the supply pressure gauge, located at the lower rear of the machine,
to confirm that the facility supply of clean dry air to the machine is
between 90 and 100 psi.
2. Confirm that the work chuck (lower spindle) clean dry air supply is not less
than 80 psi.
3. Confirm that the upper spindle clean dry air supply is not less than 72 psi.
4. At the vacuum separator, usually mounted on an adjacent wall, confirm
that the separator tank vacuum is not less than 25 Hg (inches of mercury).
5. Confirm that the facility supply motor coolant flow is greater than 1 gpm.
