LIGHT TOWER OPERATION
The light tower provides visible and audible indications of the machine state. The
color of the light, whether or not the light is flashing, and the presence or absence of
an audible alarm all aid in communicating machine status to the operator. The
information below details possible machine states, their indicators, and suggested
immediate actions to be taken in response to the states.
IDLE: GREEN FLASHING, NO ALARM SOUNDS
This state indicates that no faults exist and no actions are to be taken. No wafers are
being processed. The machine will stay in this state until a fault occurs, attention of an
operator is requested, or production is begun.
RUNNING: GREEN STEADY, NO ALARM SOUNDS
While wafers are being processed, this state is displayed. If a fault occurs or an
operator is requested, the state will change.
