SUMMARY
The list below summarizes the procedures required to complete the initial alignments
for the grinding area of the machine. The procedures must be performed in the order
shown below.
I. Before You Begin (preparatory procedures)
II. Level the Horizontal Rails of the Bed
III. Level the Lower Right and Left Spindle Assemblies
IV. Mount the Fringe Plates to the Lower Spindle Assemblies and Adjust
V. Adjust the Upper Spindle Assemblies to Positions Parallel with the Lower
Right Spindle
VI. Adjust the Lower Left Spindle Assembly to a Position Parallel with the Upper
Spindle Assemblies
VII. Bridge Left/Right Travel Proximity Sensor Adjustments
VIII. Spindle Z Travel Proximity Sensor Adjustments
IX. When the Grinding Area Initial Adjustments Have Been Successfully
