REMOVE THE GRINDING SECTION DOORS, THE UPPER GRIND CHAMBER COVERS, AND THE
UPPER GRIND CHAMBER SEALING PLATES
1. If the bridge is not at its center position, move it to the center by following the
steps below:
CAUTION: Always confirm that the digital probes are in up position before
moving the bridge to avoid breaking them off!
GOAL: The coarse and fine spindles should be aligned over the
lower spindles.
a. Open door 16, located at the right side of the grind section.
b. Locate the bridge sprocket inside its white cover, just inside door 16.
c. Reach inside the sprocket cover and rotate the sprocket clockwise or
counterclockwise as needed to move the bridge and position the coarse
and fine spindles.
3. Remove all side and rear access doors to the grinding section (doors 12, 13,
14, 15, 16, 17, and 19) and set aside.
Note: For details on the door fasteners, refer to the Physical Description
chapter of this manual.
Upper Right Spindle
3. Remove the upper right grind chamber covers, the horizontal plates located
immediately below the upper right spindle:
a. Using a 5/32-in. hex key, rotate the ten 1/4-20 button head capscrews
securing the grind chamber cover counterclockwise to remove them.
b. Lift the covers off and set them aside.
