GOAL: The upper left spindle U-bracket must be aligned over
the inflatable seal surrounding the right work chuck.
2. Through the door 19 opening at the rear of the machine, place a 15-in. long
level side to side on the rear horizontal bridge rail (one end of the level
pointing toward the left side of the machine cabinet and the other end pointing
toward the right side).
3. At the left and right sides of the machine cabinet, locate the left and right bed
bottom brackets and their adjusting screws.
4. Adjust the height of the left and right bed adjusting screws as needed to meet
the goal:
GOAL: The reading of the level resting on the rear horizontal
bridge rail should be centered within the level's marks.
a. To adjust the left side, use a 1 1/8-in. open end wrench to loosen the 3/4-
in. lock nut by rotating it counterclockwise.
b. Use a 1 1/4-in. open end wrench to rotate the 3/4-in. adjusting screw as
needed.
Notes: Rotating the adjusting screw clockwise lowers the side of the
bed nearest the screw.
Rotating the adjusting screw counterclockwise raises the side
of the bed nearest the screw.
c. To adjust the right side, use a 1 1/8-in. open end wrench to loosen its 3/4-
in. lock nut by rotating it counterclockwise.
d. Use a 1 1/4-in. open end wrench to rotate its 3/4-in. adjusting screw as
needed.
e. When the goal is met, retighten both lock nuts by rotating them clockwise.

5. Move the 15-in. long level to a front to rear position extending from the front
horizontal bridge rail to the rear horizontal bridge rail (one end of the level
pointing toward the front of the machine cabinet and the other end pointing
toward the rear).
