Version 1.2 - June 2004 14 - 9
MANUAL DRESSING AND TRUING
The force during dressing should remain steady and should not rise above 10 lbs.
The motor current during dressing may rise slightly while the wheel is feeding down,
but it should quickly level back out.
If during dressing the grind force and/or the motor current are not steady, the wheel
may need to be changed.
During the dwell portion of the chuck grinding sequence, the probe fluctuation should
be less than 1 micron.
AUTOMATIC DRESSING AND TRUING
The force during dressing should remain steady and should not rise above 10 lbs. If
the force fluctuates erratically (by more than 10 lbs), the wheel probably needs to be
changed.
The motor current during dressing should be within normal operating limits (less than
9.0 amps).
During the dwell portion of the chuck grinding sequence, the probe fluctuation should
be less than 1 micron.
