RESTORE
CAUTION: The Restore procedure shown below should be performed only by
users familiar with basic DOS file commands.
Help is available from the factory for individuals with basic DOS skills but
uncomfortable with the actual process.
Users lacking basic DOS skills should contact Strasbaugh, Inc., Field Service to
perform the restore procedure.
Follow the steps below to restore files backed up to a floppy diskette:
1. Confirm that DOS is installed on the 7AF control computer.
2. If a new computer has been installed (replacing the factory installed control
computer), confirm that all interface boards originally residing in the factory
installed computer have been moved to the new computer.
Note: For assistance on installation and setup of interface boards, contact
the factory.
3. Confirm that all power saving or hard disk “spin down” features have been
disabled.
DO NOT go on the next step of this procedure until all such features have
been disabled!
4. Following the instructions included with the software, install the most recent
version of the 7AF software supplied by the factory.
