PROTECTING RECIPE FILES--TEMPORARY
SECURITY MEASURES
The procedures below detail steps for protecting and removing protection from recipe
files. These functions are performed by batch files stored in the c:\7AF\EXECODE
directory.
SOFTWARE VERSION REQUIRED
The utility batch files needed for the recipe security functions are included in all 7AF
software releases Version 2.06 and later. If you have an earlier software version,
contact the factory.
PROTECTING RECIPES
This procedure sets the recipe files to “read only” which protects them from accidental
or intentional modification. To modify a recipe, follow the steps for Removing
Protection from Recipes (below in this chapter) before changing recipe parameters.
Follow the steps below to protect recipe files:
1. Touch the 7AF in the 7AF logo to exit the 7AF software.
2. At the prompt, type Lock and press the Enter key.
The batch file will write protect all recipes by setting their “read only”
attribute.
3. When the prompt is again displayed, type RUN7AF and press the Enter key to
restart the 7AF software.
