CABINETRY
The figures below illustrate four views of the Model 7AF Wafer Grinder, identifying
service and operator doors, cassette turrets, and the subassemblies accessible through
each. Each figure has its own part identification list and some description. The doors
are also identified in Figures 3-1, 3-2, 3-3, and 3-4.
DOOR NUMBERING SYSTEM
Each of the 21 doors of the Model 7AF has been assigned a number used for
identification throughout all discussions and procedures in this manual. The numbers
are shown in the four exterior views of the machine (Figures 1, 2, 3, and 4) below. In
addition, the doors and their associated jams are labeled at the machine for ease of
identification.
SERVICE DOORS (DOORS 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17,
18, 19, AND 21)
Service doors are secured by lift and turn twist-lock fasteners located in the upper two
corners of the door. Lock or release the fasteners by using a hand-held Phillips
screwdriver to rotate them 90° clockwise or counterclockwise as needed. Some doors
are hinged; others are removable by lifting off.
When locking service doors, firmly tighten with the Phillips screwdriver to
provide maximum security against unauthorized opening.
Note that Door 21 is the door to an electrical enclosure; its handle rotates 90° to open
and close.
DISCONNECT ENCLOSURE DOOR (DOOR 20)
Door 20 is the disconnect enclosure door.
