CONTROL COMPUTER
The system unit of the control computer is detailed in the Control System Description
chapter of this manual. The section below addresses the monitor, touch screen, and
keyboard and provides an illustration of each menu displayed by the 7AF control
computer.
MONITOR - TOUCH SCREEN
The 19-inch, high resolution color monitor is equipped with a touch screen for
operator control. Menu selections are made by touching the area of the screen (screen
symbol) displaying the desired menu choice.
Screen symbols may be icons (pictures representing machine components) or buttons
containing text.
The monitor is mounted on a flexible support arm to permit ergonomic positioning by
the user.
KEYBOARD
A PC (personal computer) style enhanced keyboard is provided for some
software/machine maintenance. The PC keyboard cable plugs into the system unit's
keyboard connection. The control computer's system unit is mounted on a pullout tray
located inside door 8.
To Plug in the Keyboard:
1. Shut all machine power OFF by pulling the main machine disconnect switch,
located at the rear of the machine on the disconnect enclosure, down to the off
position.
2. Open door 8 and pull out the system unit's support tray.
