5.13.2 Applying Mix Protection
One or more Protection Sets may be applied simultaneously. This affords
multiple layers of protection, which may be built up during the course of a
mix. These layers of protection may be quickly applied and removed as
needed. If a Title is being used as a production template, the saved Protec-
tion Sets may be used with any Mix Pass created using that template.
Important Note: When Mix Protection is enabled, Protection is applied to the Active Pass.
All protected controls will be protected regardless of which Mix Pass is
made active.
Selecting Protection Sets: How Protection Sets are selected is determined by selecting the desired
radio button in the “Use” section of the Automation Protection window.
These radio buttons allow the selection of Protection Sets one of three
ways:
• Current: The current Protection Set will be selected.
• Checked: The checked Protections Sets will be selected. A list of Pro-
tection Sets is displayed in the Protection Set section of the Automation
Protection window. Each Protection Set has a box which may be
“checked” to include that set in the list of checked sets. The current
Protection Set is not selected.
