8.1 Operating Desk
The operating desk is a modular construction consisting of a combination
of 12 and/or 16 module frames, the basic module width being 40 mm. The
fader and input/output blocks come in widths of four modules (160 mm),
and they can be equipped in any multiple of four channel strips. So any
console can have from 4 up to 96 or more channel strips. The central sec-
tion is basically 16 or 12 modules wide and houses the GC cockpit.
Typical power requirements: 100...110 V or 220...240 V, 50/60 Hz, 150...600 W,
depending on the number of channel strips.
