Release the pressure at the air pressure device.
Do not exceed the maximum permitted air pressure of 2.5 bar (relative)!

Slowly pressurize the wastegate controller.
Use the air pressure device.

Increase the relative pressure up to 1.3 bar.
The wastegate must not start to
move.
(13)
Increase the relative pressure up to 1.4 bar.
The wastegate starts to move.
(14)
Increase the relative pressure up to 1.5 bar.
The wastegate starts to open.
(15)
Increase the relative pressure up to 2.0 bar.
The wastegate is fully open.

If the adjustment of the rod eye is correct,
continue with Step (22), otherwise continue with
Step (17).

Loosen the mounting screws of the wastegate
controller to compressor housing until the rod eye
and the wastegate controller can be easily tilted
away from the turbocharger.
Refer to Fig. 81 - 18.

Adjust the opening pressure.
- To reduce the opening
pressure, turn the rod eye
out of the connection rod.
- To increase the opening
pressure, turn the rod eye
into the connection rod.

Release/pressurize air at the wastegate controller
until
– The rod eye and the wastegate controller
can be easily titled back at the
turbocharger
– The screws can be easily screwed into the
mounting holes at the compressor housing
of the turbocharger.
Use the air pressure device.

Tighten the screws only with hand for test.
(21)
Repeat steps (10) to (16).

Secure the rod eye on the wastegate pin with a
spring loaded circlip.
Make sure that the spring
loaded circlip is completely into
the wastegate pin.
Refer to Fig. 81 - 18.

Tighten the screws that attach the wastegate to
the compressor housing.
Torque 8 Nm.
