cuscinetti di sterzo
Note
Per la registrazione del gioco
dei cuscinetti di sterzo seguire
quanto riportato (Sez. D 4).
Qualora non si risolvessero i problemi
riscontrati, verificare lo stato d’usura
dei cuscinetti di sterzo (3) ed
eventualmente sostituirli come
riportato al paragrafo “Smontaggio
componenti cannotto di sterzo” di
questo capitolo.
Inclinazione cannotto
regolabile 749S
Per offrire al pilota la possibilità di
variare l’inclinazione del cannotto di
sterzo e, di conseguenza, l’avancorsa
senza modificare l’interasse, il perno
(A) risulta disassato e inclinato
rispetto al cannotto di sterzo (4).
Il cannotto è contenuto nel tubo
del telaio e può essere bloccato in
due posizioni diametralmente
opposte (rotazione di 180°).
Il perno di sterzo è supportato sul
cannotto da due cuscinetti (3) a
sfere con anelli di tenuta (2) esterni.
Una ghiera (10) avvitata sul perno di
sterzo provvede a determinare il
gioco di montaggio dei cuscinetti.

If correct steering bearing play
cannot be achieved, check the wear
of the steering bearings (3) and if
necessary replace them as described
in “Removing the steering tube
parts” in this section.
Adjustable steering head
angle 749S
To allow riders the possibility to alter
the angle of the steering head and
consequently the trail without
changing the wheel base length,
the stem (A) is axially offset and
inclined at an angle relative to the
steering tube (4). The steering tube is
housed in the frame tube and can be
locked in two diametrically opposed
positions (rotation through 180°).
The stem is supported in the steering
tube by two ball bearing races (3)
with external seal rings (2).
A ring nut (10) screwed onto the stem
determines the amount of bearing play.
