Sostituzione e pulizia
filtri aria
I filtri aria devono essere sostituiti
agli intervalli presenti sulla tabella
“Manutenzione periodica” (Sez. D 3.
Per rimuovere il filtro operare come
segue.
Note
Le immagini rappresentano il
veicolo senza serbatoio: l’operazione
descritta è possibile anche con
serbatoio montato.
Note
Nel canale di aspirazione destro
è integrato il serbatoio acqua.
Rimuovere la fascetta (1) dal tubo e
sfilare quest’ultimo dal serbatoio di
espansione.
Svitare le viti (3) e (4) di fissaggio dei
canali di aspirazione alla scatola filtro.
Note
Nel rimontaggio fare attenzione
alla vite (4) più corta, che va
posizionata nella parte inferiore.
Rimuovere i canali di aspirazione (5)
e (6) sfilandoli dal gommino (A) di
ritegno sul radiatore acqua. Fare
attenzione che non esca liquido di
raffreddamento dal serbatoio di
espansione integrato nel canale di
aspirazione (6).
Sfilare le cartuccie filtro (2) dalle
sedi nella scatola filtro.
Pulire con un getto di aria compressa
l’elemento filtrante o sostituirlo.
Importante
Un filtro intasato, riduce
l’entrata dell’aria aumentando il
consumo di benzina, riducendo la
potenza del motore e provocando
incrostazioni nelle candele. Non usare
il motociclo senza filtro. Le impurità
presenti nell’aria potrebbero entrare
nel motore danneggiandolo.
Reinstallare correttamente la
cartuccia nella sede della scatola
filtro e rimontare tutti gli elementi e
le strutture rimosse.
Importante
In caso di impiego su strade
particolarmente polverose o umide
provvedere alla sostituzione più
frequentemente di quanto prescritto.

Changing and cleaning
the air filters
The air filter must be changed at the
intervals indicated in the “Routine
maintenance” schedule (Sect. D 3).
To remove the filter, proceed as
described below.

The images show the
motorcycle without the fuel tank:
The operation described is possible
also with the fuel tank fitted.
Notes
The water tank is integrated
into the RH intake duct.
Remove the clamp (1) from the
pipe and disconnect the latter
from the expansion tank.
Undo the screws (3) and (4) securing
the air scoops to the filter box.
Notes
On reassembly, note that
the shorter screw (4) goes in the
lower part.
Remove the air scoops (5) and (6),
detaching them from the rubber
retainer (A) on the radiator. Take
care not to let coolant spill from
the expansion tank integrated in
the air scoop (6).
Extract the filter cartridges (2)
from their seats in the filter box.
Clean the filter cartridge with a
compressed air jet or renew it if
necessary.
Important
A clogged air filter will reduce
air intake and engine power, increase
fuel consumption and cause a build
up of deposits on the spark plugs.
Do not run the engine without the air
filter. This will draw foreign material
present in the air into the engine
where it could cause damage.
Reinstall the filter cartridge in its
seat in the filter box and refit all
removed parts and structures.
Important
If the vehicle is used in very
damp or dusty conditions, the air
filter cartridge must be changed
more frequently.
