Controllo livello liquido
raffreddamento
Agli intervalli prescritti nella tabella
“Manutenzione periodica” (Sez. D 3)
controllare il livello del liquido
refrigerante contenuto nel serbatoio di
espansione, sul lato destro del veicolo.
Il livello corretto deve risultare
compreso tra la due tacche di MAX e
di MIN ricavati sul serbatoio stesso.
Se il livello risulta basso è necessario
provvedere al rabbocco aggiungendo
liquido prescritto.
Rimuovere la carenatura destra
(Sez. E 2).
Svitare il tappo di carico (1) e
aggiungere liquido nuovo fino a
raggiungere il livello prescritto.
Riavvitare il tappo (1) e rimontare
le strutture rimosse.
Per ottenere le migliori condizioni di
esercizio (corrispondente all’inizio
congelamento miscela a –20°C / 4°F)
il liquido di raffreddamento prescritto
deve essere miscelato con acqua
nelle seguenti percentuali:
ANTIGELO: 35÷40% del volume;
ACQUA: 65÷60% del volume.
Importante
Un’acqua particolarmente dura
con alta percentuale di sali minerali
può danneggiare il motore.
In presenza di climi particolarmente
rigidi si può aumentare la percentuale di
anticongelante fino al 55% del volume.
Importante
Una soluzione con percentuale
di anticongelante inferiore al 30% non
fornisce una adeguata protezione
contro la corrosione.
Checking coolant level
At the intervals specified in the
“Routine Maintenance” chart
(Sect. D 3), check the coolant level in
the expansion tank, located on the
right-hand side of the motorcycle.
The colant level should be between
the MAX and MIN marks on the
expansion tank.
In case of low level, top up with the
recommended coolant.
Remove the RH side fairing (Sect. E 2).
Remove the filler cap (1) and top up to
the specified level.
Refit the cap (1) and replace any parts
removed.
For best results (coolant mixture
starting to freeze at –20°C / 4°F),
the recommended liquid antifreeze
should be mixed with water in the
following percentages:
ANTIFREEZE: 35–40 % by volume;
WATER: 65-60% by volume.
Important
Avoid using particularly hard
water with a high mineral salt content,
as this could damage the engine.
Increase the amount of coolant to up
to 55% volume in the case of very
cold climates.
Important
Solutions with less than 30%
of coolant will not provide sufficient
protection against corrosion.
